We use the information we collect to operate Vetoben’s luxury resale platform, fulfill purchases, verify authenticity-related requests, and communicate with you about your account and orders. We process data only as necessary to provide our services and comply with applicable law.
3. Mobile App Privacy
The Vetoben mobile application for iOS and Android (the “App”) collects and uses information as described in this Privacy Policy. App data supplements the website practices in Sections 1 and 2 above.
Information we collect in the App:
- Account information: When you sign in, we process your email address, name, phone number, and WooCommerce customer profile data to show orders, addresses, and notification settings.
- Order and address data: Order history and saved billing/shipping addresses from your Vetoben customer account.
- Push notification token: If you enable deal alerts, we store an Expo push token and a device identifier to deliver native notifications. We do not use web push or VAPID in the App.
- Visual search photos: If you use camera or gallery search, the image is sent to our servers to find similar products. Images are processed for search and are not used for advertising profiles.
- Device information: Platform (iOS/Android) and app version for push delivery and support.
How we use App information:
- Authenticate you and display your account, orders, and addresses
- Send deal and marketing alerts you opt into
- Provide visual product search
- Improve app reliability and security
What we do not do in the App:
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not show PWA install prompts or browser web-push subscription UI in the App.
- We do not store your payment card details in the App; checkout completes on vetoben.com via WooCommerce.
App data is handled in accordance with this policy and is used to maintain your signed-in session, display order status, and support account-related features including secure checkout within the application.
4. Push Notifications
Users may choose to receive promotional and transactional notifications from Vetoben, including order updates, deal alerts, and service announcements.
If you enable deal alerts, we store an Expo push token and a device identifier to deliver native notifications. Push delivery on Android may use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) when enabled.
Notification preferences can be modified at any time in the App under Account → Notification Settings. You may also disable notifications through your device system settings (iOS/Android).
Push tokens are removed when you disable alerts or uninstall the App.
5. Account Deletion
Users may permanently delete their account directly within the Vetoben mobile application.
Upon deletion, account access is removed and data retention is handled according to applicable legal and operational requirements. Completed order records may be retained in anonymized form where required for accounting, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
Accounts with open or in-progress orders may be restricted from self-service deletion until those orders are completed. Administrator and staff accounts cannot be deleted through self-service.
Account data is retained while your Vetoben customer account is active. You may also request account deletion by contacting us at info@vetoben.com.
Your choices in the App:
- Disable deal or marketing notifications in Account → Notification Settings or iOS/Android system settings
- Deny camera or photo access; text search remains available
- Sign out to remove the session token from your device
Security: Sign-in uses encrypted connections and short-lived tokens stored in the device secure store. Logout revokes tokens server-side.
Children: The App is not directed to children under 13.
6. Cookies & Similar Technologies
Vetoben uses cookies and similar technologies to:
- Maintain user login sessions
- Store shopping cart contents
- Remember customer preferences
- Improve website and application performance
- Analyze website traffic and usage trends
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may limit checkout, account access, or other site features. We do not use legacy e-commerce platform cookies unrelated to our current WordPress and WooCommerce stack.
